St. Bridget Women’s Ministry (SBWM)

The mission of the St. Bridget Women’s Ministry (SBWM) is to “promote fellowship amongst the women of Saint Bridget Catholic Church, because as a group we are stronger than as one. We focus on ministry — ministry to self & spiritual growth, ministry to the church & ministry to others.” To learn more or join SBWM, contact Kim Hulcher or Shannon Garbett. All women of the parish are welcome to join. We hope that you will!

New Bible Study Opportunity
The Women's Ministry invites you to join an exciting Bible study, Adventures in Matthew: The King and His Kingdom, by Jeff Cavins, focusing on Jesus as the fulfillment of the promises of the Old Testament. It touches on Jesus' establishment of the Church as the Kingdom of Heaven on earth. Set in the rich context of Jesus' Jewish culture, this study will help you understand the universal truths of the Kingdom of God and God's will for us today and help you-

  • Go deeper into the story of Salvation History and discover the riches of the Gospel message.
  • Enrich your spiritual life through a better understanding of the life of Christ.
  • Develop a greater appreciation for the Church and the sacraments as you see them being instituted by our Lord.
  • Come to a deeper understanding of your role in the Kingdom of God through the Beatitudes and all of the teachings of Christ.
  • This is a 24-week study that will be split into two "semesters," with the first semester beginning the week of September 19 and running through the week of December 12th.  The classes will resume after Christmas the week of January 12th for the second semester.  It will be offered at two different times each week, so participants can select whether they will attend the Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning class (because of group discussions, participants are asked to attend the same session each week).

Workbooks will cost approximately $30 and will be available on the first day (please be prepared to make payment to Saint Bridget Church at that time).  To reserve a spot, call or email Elizabeth Martin by September 16 at ekmartin23@hotmail.com or 804.754.7004, including the session you will be attending.  We look forward to seeing you!

    Men’s Ministry
